Pastor Pam will be on a mission trip from June 30th to September 30th (2012) in Trapper Creek, Alaska.
Just where exactly is Trapper Creek? At the southern end of Denali National Park, about 116-miles north of Anchorage Alaska, or 4,444 miles from Sleepy Hollow United Methodist Church (via Interstates and the Trans-Canadian Highway).
![]() She will be ministering to folks at the Trapper Creek Fellowship, one of the churches jointly sponsored by established local church communities, organized as the Mat-Su PLUME Outreach. Mat-Su refers to the Matinuska-Sustina valley, the area north of Anchorage, south of Fairbanks. PLUME is an acronym formed from the names of the four denominations: P=Presbyterian, L=Lutheran (ECLA), UM=United Methodist, and E=Episcopal. While there, she will lead regular worship services, provide pastoral care, visit and reach-out to both the local community and the seasonal workers & visitors, and lead weekly Bible studies. In additon, she will follow Jesus' example of taking time for prayer & study, and grow spitirually while surrounded by God's beautiful creation.
